Introducing Site Comments

Our Site Comments system is a fantastic way to communicate with clients or members of your team, all within the context of your website editor. This system is so effective and simple to use that it may just revolutionize the way you approach communication in your web design business.

This feature is available for all Pro and Enterprise members of Without Code.

A Game-Changer in Communication

You have clients, and perhaps even team members that are involved in the building process or the ongoing maintenance of a website. Of course we all have our favorite method of communication – email, phone calls, texts. Keeping track of revision requests and messages across all possible communication methods can be challenging.

Our Site Comments system is integrated right into the Without Code website editor, available at any time, and for anyone with permissions to use it (you control user permissions). This means that communications are more direct than ever, and always in proper context – no more texts describing a mysterious button somewhere "near the bottom" of the home page that needs to be re-linked. Comments are placed directly on elements in your site, making them easy to find.

How Does it Work?

Site comments are placed right on top of your Without Code site, and can be attached to any element on any page. Comments can be reviewed by anyone you've set up as a CMS User – clients, team members, etc. User permissions allow simple control of who can add and review comments. Any time a comment is added or resolved, an unbranded email is automatically sent to the CMS Users who have been granted permission to receive email communications.
When Site Commenting is enabled for a site (you can enable it on any site you like), a small menu will appear, pinned to the righthand side of the editor. This menu allows users to easily add new comments, review all comments in the comment log, and hide all comments in the editor. 

Individual comments allow for as many replies as needed between users. When comments are ready to be resolved, doing so is easy with the resolve button. Resolved issues are archived automatically, making it easy to track progress within your project.

The Site Comments feature places communication between you, your client, and your team in one convenient location: the website that's being built. You won’t need to use emails, phone calls, or screenshots to share ideas, provide feedback, and communicate changes.
Members of your design team will appreciate being able to communicate quickly and clearly. If there are elements that need to be changed or tested, they can do so on the spot and in real time while they review and leave comments. This change could be the catalyst for improving efficiency in site designs and builds.

Clients will also get the satisfaction of seeing issues resolved as solutions are implemented. This progression can build their confidence in your abilities to communicate and resolve issues quickly. And best of all, clients will watch their actual websites being built and improved upon – not some mockup or prototype, but the actual site itself. 

Getting Started

Site Comments are live in the Without Code website builder right now – all you need to do is turn them on! Here are the three simple steps to enable Site Comments for your site and users:
  1. Enable Site Comments for your site within your dashboard.
  2. Add the Site Comments permission for each CMS User or Team Member within the user permissions tab.
  3. Click "Add Comment" in the small menu now visible on the righthand side of the editor within the site builder.
